Almost time for Thanksgiving and we are wishing you a happy and healthy one. I have not been open in my shop much at all due to many 2020 issues, but I do plan a few more hours until Christmas. There are new shops and energy in Lodi and I certainly want to do my part to showcase this great little town, its artists, entrepreneurs and its charm. Stay tuned for links and hours. Here's the Facebook link: https://www.facebook.com/lightsonlodi https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=lights%20on%20lodi%20-%20holiday%20style I sit this morning in a gorgeous historic building in downtown Lodi on a perfect balmy sunny day. So much turmoil in the world now and so many lives changed. The past 2 years have had personal turmoil me for as well relating to various family situations. Perhaps some of you have been wondering what's going on with Sunfall. I assume small town news travels fast and obviously some of you knew snippets of what was going. I have been contemplating closing Sunfall for quite some time. As I sit here enjoying the space and all the memories of the good times here and all the people I have met, I have to admit it has been a great pleasure to be in a small local business. In fact, for me it has been the best job imaginable. I contemplate what I may do next and luckily I have choices. I will be at Sunfall from time to time enjoying the space and selling the balance of my merchandise and also a few new treasures I may find. Please message me if you'd like to visit or see something in the window you'd like. I may have lots going on with family and other interests, but its still a pleasure to be here at Sunfall and meet you at your convenience. Have a wonderful day! Deb
August 4th Sunfall is pleased to welcome back artist Dyan Kopitzke. Dyan's travels this year took her to Spain. She continues to experiment with art, taking new classes each year. We look forward to seeing new works inspired by her journeys this year.
Friday night 5-9 p.m. Small Business Saturday takes place November 26, 2016. Sunfall is planning an event featuring W Houston Fine Art Jewelry, unique sterling and cloisonné specialty jewelry. Shop small and find a perfect holiday gift.
Detail of "Standing Alone" painting by Diana Weitzel Graham. Diana will be at Sunfall July 1st for Lodi's First Friday Art Walk. She is currently working on a painting of Gibraltar Rock for Sunfall. You will be able to see that and her portfolio from 5 pm until 9 pm this Friday night.
Sunfall on Main is committed to selling only plants that are chemical free. Most commercial greenhouses use neonicotinoids (neonics) to keep insect populations down. They treat the soil and the plants take up this chemical systemically. Neonics have been shown to have a detrimental effect on bee populations. Staying away from chemicals and having healthy soil and good garden practices will give you the best plant results. Thank-you for considering the bees environment and ours!
Such a busy time of year, but so lovely. Appreciating family and friends with Thanksgiving. This month a renewing of our spirits with holidays and hibernation or rest from our other very busy seasons.
At Sunfall we love to showcase this season with handmade items from some very talented local artists and crafters. It really feels great to help you find a unique one of a kind gift made by Kipp, Carol, Sue, Maureen, Rick, Wayne, Diana, Laurie, David, and Steve. I personally love to see you appreciate their unique creations. I also love to sell our Wisconsin made soaps, lotions and candles from Good Earth Soaps and teas from Four Elements Herbals because they are local, quality products. Thank you for shopping small town Lodi! I hope to see you soon. |
