Our courtyard is finally looking good after bringing in some plants today. I love picking out combinations and it won't be long until they fill out. Some quality herbs, a few sweet violas or heirloom vegetable plants would all be great for a Mothers Day gift. All of plants are organically grown, which means no bee killing pesticides are used.

![]() It truly feels like spring now with these rains and humidity. Our plants are thriving as we start to move them outdoors and harden them off. I've also just started some more zucchini seeds in my favorite paper pots. More potmakers also just arrived if you would like to start your own seeds. The potmaker eliminates transplant shock by using newpaper strips to make your starter pot. Come on in and I'll give you a demo. I was so pleased to receive a letter today informing me that my building is now on the National and State Register of Historic Places. My building was originally the State Bank of Lodi which closed during the depression era. The Michel's family took possession and it was a family paint and plumbing business for 71 years.
I am the third owner and I truly appreciate these great old buildings, flaws and all. I continue to improve what I can to maintain its original character. More information about the new Lodi Downtown Historic District can be obtained here. After what seems like four long months without sun, we finally have some! Everyone is ecstatic, I am sure. Sunday we are spring cleaning our shed and starting some special clearances. We also have some fun new items in and garden seeds, which are the best part of spring renewal.
Had to take a short excursion so we will be closed Wednesday, Feb 12th. If you are wanting garden seeds we will be open on Thursday and we have some nice valentine gifts also. Hope to see you soon.
